tattoo 2: December 14, 2009
It reads “vivere senza rimpianti,” which means “live without regrets” in Italian. I chose Italian because, as most of you should know, I have Italian blood and I’m d**n proud of it. The phrase itself was chosen because this tattoo was spontaneous- I decided I wanted one at 2pm and was in the chair by 6. Everything I’ve experienced in my life has had the possibility of turning out differently than planned, and I’ve learned that no matter what happens you have to embrace life. I absolutely love this piece- it speaks volumes about my personality and how I live.

tattoos 4 & 5: February 13, 2010
My left wrist is the outline of a star and my right says “prometto”, meaning “I promise” in Italian. I used to cut and the star rests above the scars on my left wrist, tracing along one or two. I chose the text because it’s a reminder to me that no matter how bad things get I know I can handle them, without hurting myself. It’s a literal promise to myself that I will never do that to myself again. Both tattoos are in white ink to symbolize scars.
